Learning About How Students Learn

This talk will explore the different ways that students encounter and internalize the information, knowledge, skills and understandings that they are presented with in their quest to learn mathematics. We will discuss some of the prominent research perspectives on how students learn mathematics, and how we can translate these into effective teaching practices in our own post secondary classrooms.
