Statistical Image Extraction In Optical Coherence Tomography

I will discuss the limits of resolution in optical imaging systems. Afterwards I will discuss techniques for image extraction in optical coherence tomography (OCT) with emphasis on statistical methods like maximum likelihood estimation. I will present the statistics of the depth-scan photocurrent and envelope in time-domain OCT which are a necessary pre-requisite for development of statistical image extraction methods.
