Research interests

Applications of geometry, philosophy of Mathematics

While I devote much of my time to editing Philosophia Mathematica, the only journal in the world devoted to philosophy of mathematics, and sometimes write (elsewhere) at the interface between journalism and philosophy, I also do mathematical research. For several years now it has been on (the mathematics of) weaving, two topics in particular, how weaving structures can be made in mathematically interesting ways and what they can look like.
